Yu-Gi-Oh! Adilsons League 2019

After the amazing response to last year’s YAL which culminated in a tense showdown between Meme Dream Team and Dark Legacy, YAL returns in March with key changes intended to enhance team spirit and team leadership, to improve the dynamics and levels of all teams and to create an evenly matched playing field.

The primary basis of YAL stays the same: The Team which tallies the highest points will be declared as the Winning Team at the end of the 12th YAL in December. The prizes for the Winning Team will be divided equally between all Team Members. The duelist with the highest score in the Winning Team will also gain a permanent entry into the Adilson Grand Championship. For more details, see the updated rules for the Road to the Grand Championship.

However, in order to create a more balanced competition, these are the new rules on how teams will be built:

● All players have been assessed and graded before the start of YAL. You can see the table to view the “Life Bricks (LB)” of all players. The explanation on how those Life Bricks were allocated is also present.

● Five voluntary captains are going to be selected among the top players. For this year’s YAL, these are the selected captains: 1. Irfan Joomun - 117 Life Bricks 2. Ritish Juggurnauth - 102 Life Bricks 3. Shaheed Khalil - 98 Life Bricks 4. Nehan (Jackk) Degambur - 96 Life Bricks 5. Shafeeq Nabeebaccus - 84 Life Bricks 6. Didier Luidalam - 72 Life Bricks

● If any other player wishes to be a Captain, he can notify Anas (Head Judge for this year’s YAL). MINIMUM REQUIREMENT TO QUALIFY AS A CAPTAIN IS 60 BRICKS. NO PLAYER WITH LESSER THAN 60 BRICKS WILL BE ALLOWED TO CAPTAIN A TEAM.

● EACH TEAM WILL CONSIST OF 4 MEMBERS (1 CAPTAIN AND 3 TEAM MEMBERS). No Team shall be registered with lesser or more than 4 members.

● To build their own Team, EACH CAPTAIN WILL BE HANDED A BUDGET TOTAL OF 300 LIFE BRICKS. They will first need to deduct from that Budget Total as per their own respective Life Bricks.

● Following which, based on the Life Bricks of all players, Captain need to recruit 3 other players that FIT WITHIN THE REMAINING BUDGET.

● Any Recruitment shall occur on a player’s own will. If one player gets multiple offer from various Captains, ultimate decision remain to the player onto which Team/Captain he wants to join.

● Once Captains have finalized their team after selecting their teammates, Captains need to submit their Team Name and Team List to Anas. A Team Logo is an additional optional requirement (either submit a Team Logo of your preference or a customized Logo will be attributed to your team). The list will be posted online for public viewing.

● Each Captain will be given the option and a fresh 50 Life Bricks Budget to add a 5th Member to their team during the Mid-Season Transfer following the Grand Championship. The Life Bricks Rankings will be updated in Mid-Season as per the progressive events of YAL 2019.

● Any Unspent Life Bricks from the 300 Budget Total will be also banked for the Mid-Season Transfer, hereby potentially increasing your mid-season 50 Life Bricks Budget.

● Any players not joining any Teams can still participate and register in the YAL as Free Agent. Free Agents will also be allowed to be recruited, if they wish to, in the Mid-Season Transfer.

● DEADLINE TO FINALIZE AND SEND YOUR TEAMLIST & TEAMNAME TO ANAS IS ON 2nd MARCH 2019.

● The first YAL 2019 will be on Sunday 10th March 2019. Best of Luck to all players in their quest for glory! May your duelist soul prevail!
